We consider accessibility throughout our design and development process. Depending on the project and the features involved, this may include:

We recognize that automated accessibility tools cannot identify every accessibility issue. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we continue to improve our practices as we identify opportunities to do so.

Our Website

We aim for the Basirah Designs website to follow the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, with Level AA as our accessibility target.

However, we do not claim that every page, feature, document, or third-party component on our website fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Websites change over time, and accessibility issues may occasionally occur as content, software, or integrations are updated.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, we encourage you to let us know so we can investigate it.

Websites We Build for Clients

Basirah Designs creates websites for businesses and organizations. We aim to incorporate accessibility-conscious practices into our work, but accessibility requirements for a client website depend on the specific project and services agreed upon with the client.

Unless accessibility testing, remediation, or a specific accessibility standard is expressly included in a project's agreement, Basirah Designs does not represent or guarantee that a client website will fully conform to WCAG, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any other accessibility law or standard.

After a website is delivered, accessibility can also be affected by changes to content, images, documents, plugins, third-party services, code, or other modifications made by the client or another provider.

If a client requires a specific accessibility standard or testing process, we encourage them to discuss those requirements with us before development begins so that the appropriate scope and deliverables can be established.

Third-Party Content and Services

Some websites may include third-party services such as maps, scheduling systems, payment processors, videos, social-media content, analytics tools, or other embedded services. We do our best to consider accessibility when selecting and implementing these services. However, we cannot fully control the accessibility of third-party products or services.

Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you experience difficulty accessing or using any part of the Basirah Designs website, please contact us. When possible, please include:

• ◆A description of what you were trying to do
• ◆A brief description of the accessibility barrier
• ◆The device, browser, or assistive technology you were using, if relevant

You do not need to provide a diagnosis or other unnecessary medical information. We will review accessibility reports and make reasonable efforts to understand and address issues affecting access to our website.

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We intend to review and improve our website and accessibility practices as our website, technology, and services evolve.

When we identify an accessibility issue, we consider its impact on users and prioritize issues that affect important content, navigation, forms, or functionality. This statement may be updated as our accessibility practices, website, or services change.
